Dear Son.
I thought we would hear from you today but so far have not
received a letter from you all week. We hope you are well or is
it maybe you have moved again. Well Bill, we are all well and busy every day
your pa worked inside today as it was raining all day, he was enclosing a bath
tub on Albany Ave. He recoated the house so now
she wanted the tub enclosed. It sure turned cold so we have a coal fire. I am
glad that we have some of it in. Emily stopped by from work last night asked if
we had heard from you. We are just hoping the reason we are not getting any
mail may be you are on your way home. Boy would we be happy. Ray came home
Monday. Tina called up Sat and said she had gotten a telegram. I guess I did tell
you that in my last letter about the telegram. Well Tina called up yesterday
and asked us to come over Friday night as he won’t be able to visit all his
relatives and he and Lorraine
are going out together a few times. Lorraine and Bob went along with him as
they met him at the depot in the morning so he went along to there place, when
he got there he call up at his mother’s and she asked him where he was and he
said at Lorraine’s and she wanted to know why he did not let her know what time
he was coming in and he said he sent a telegram stating the time but when they
called Tina they only told her 1030
but did not say what station so she sat home all day waiting. Lorraine
did not want to go over to Tina’s but Ray said, “You both come along with me.” and when Lorraine
asked her mother for the grass skirt, Tina said she mailed it and was Ray mad.
He said, “Why in the H___ sis so that couldn’t you bring it to her?” He sure
was burned up. Della just stopped in for a while she came from peltier. She said she is feeling a lot better. She sleeps
all night and her feet haven’t swelled since she went to the doctor and she
weights 193 lbs. I think I will go on a diet too so I can lose some weight. I
had my club girls over today. I didn’t think they would come out on account of
the rain but Holger brought Lizzie and Elsie in the
car and Ernest took Ella up to the streetcar as he was going to work. I forget
to tell you Ray got to go back Tuesday he only got 14 days. Well Bill, I don’t
have any more news so I will close hoping you are in good health and the best
of luck and love and kisses and take care of yourself am thinking of you
always.
