No. 215

Hello Honey:

It’s raining cats ‘n dogs right now and it is a wonderful feeling to be under shelter.  I was out for a while tonight.  Bought Mom a new hat and then stopped in at Emma’s house.  Freda has been there for dinner.  It was such a miserable kind of an evening so we went home early.

How is every little thing with you, Sweetheart?  I keep wondering where you are.  I do hope I hear from you soon.  Is there any change in your whereabouts, Honey?  Can you tell your little wife where you are?  I don’t imagine the censors are as strict now, do you?

Bought a roll of film tonight but it says on the box “to be used immediately”.  I’m still waiting for your reply as to whether I should still send your camera.  I would like to send it to you if you want it, Honey.

Goodness, only one more day and I’ll have a short vacation.  I’m certainly looking forward to it.  I haven’t planned anything as to what I am going to do on those days.  I’ll just wait until the time comes although I do hope to take your Mom and mine out to lunch and a show downtown.  They both have pretty hats and the rest of the accessories.  They’re all set to go anywhere fancy.

Lydia is feeling a little better today though she isn’t allowed to do anything and that’s misery for her.  She had hoped to put up pickles and peaches but now she’ll have to leave all that to go.  When Mom “carried” me she was quite sick and Mom wonders if her daughter will follow her steps of pregnancy.  I hope not.

There’s not much to write about tonight, Darling.  I’ll close for how and hope to hear from you real soon.  I miss you so much, Dearest

Good luck, Honey—

Love,

Emily
