Dear Ollie,

Hello there soldier. How are you? If the army isn’t treating you okay just let me know and I’ll send a letter to Franky D. I would have written sooner but I just got your address. I’ve been pretty busy lately with graduation and so forth. Now that I’m through with school I wish I was starting all over again. Say, I’m awful sorry I didn’t get a chance to see you before you left. The whole bunch were down there at the club one night but there were a whole bunch of parents having a meeting so we decided we better not interrupt them. Everything is going along smoothly here. How’s it by you?

Art H. is in the Navy now along with Fagerquist, Mooner, and Bradley, and Lowell are in the Marines. Lowell and Bradley are in San Diego, Calif., Mooner is aboard the U.S.S. Cleveland and Harry is in the Panama Canal Zone. Well, Ollie time is growing short and I have a few letters to write yet. Let me know if there is anything you want or anything we can do for you. I’ll remember you in prayer along with the rest of the C.B.L. Boys. I made boys extra big so these guys don’t get the idea they’re men just because they’re in a World War.

                                                            Your C.B.L. pal and buddy

                                                                        Fred Weber

P.S. We’ll have to hurry up and win this war so we can go on some of those camping outings again.
