Dear Ollie,

Well I guess it’s about time that I’ve written to you.  There are so many fellows to write to and so many other things to do I just can’t keep track of all of it.

Say did you get your copy of the magazine or don’t you know where to send it?  So that was Bill Walthers eh gee that’s tough.  He’s such a swell fellow too.  When you have all news reports verified you just give me the go signal on what I should and should not put in the next issue.

Yes sir it really looks tough for some of the fellows.  I just hope when this is all over we can settle down to a clean, decent way of life again such as we used to know.

Gee Ollie I hope you can stay there for the rest of the war so you can keep the C.B.L. a little closer together.  I bet active service routine wouldn’t give you any spare time for such things as the C.B.L. magazine.

Well Ollie I guess I’ll sign off for now.  Will write more later.

                                Your pal and buddy,

                               “Webb”
