Dear Gram,
I was hopeing
I could come over to Dayton
to help in the harvest but from the looks of it I have to remain here for six
weeks. I talked to my medical advisor and he told me that after the six weeks
convalescent period I would either be discharged or put in limited service. Something
like Jim Dorr has. They offer several different studies here and I signed up
for agriculture, electrical work, and mechanical work. I am sending you a pamphlet
on the different things we have here. When I start my lessons I will tell you
my complete schedule. I will try to find out if you can stay at the guest house
here in the Ft. and for how long and I’ll try to make reservations for you. You
could even stay at Hagins and I could see you every evening and one on weekends
from Sat. noon to Monday morning at 6AM. I’ll try and write you again real
soon.
Much
Love X
Mike
