Letter 18
9 April [May]
1945
At the office
Darling-
Just
a very short note to say I’m sending you, first class, a copy of our U-E
edition and also a couple of clippings which may or may not interest you.
Have
had a very busy day today - but a good one, for I got 3 letters from
you, dated 30 April (our anniversary, by the way) and 2 written on 1 May. I
shall answer them later, for there is too much milling about in this office at present
for any sort of concentration, however feeble mine may be.
I
hope you have gobs of letters from me this time – it irkles
me to no end that you’re not getting mine. I’d rather have you get it and I get
none.
Got
to dash off and eat dubious chop suey with Nana -
Please be good and careful and keep thinking of how awfully much I love you,
stinky - Your Emil
