Darling,

You’ve got a sleepy wife – dear. So maybe this won’t be so good – but awful full of love. – Darling – Tomorrow – Monday – will be 10 days without a letter - & oh gee I miss them. I just better get one Monday so I’ll feel happy for Tuesday my birthday – But I can always put the bracelet on & know how much & all the time you’re thinking of me just as I am of you. –

Golly dearest – I’m just a little blue today – I get so lonesome – for you – Louise has been her usually good self – so she peps me up pretty much. But Momma doesn’t seem to feel very good.

I was to a party last night & had a really good time. It was at Ellen’s – by Ellen & Gertrude for the teachers - & me. I wore my velvet dress & new shoes – It was dinner, the superintendent & his wife & the teachers & me. – It was fun – tho I must say I miss you so much when I go somewhere.

I wish you could see Louise pretending to be “an old Lady from Chicago” – she stoops over & walks like an old woman & oh gee – she’s cute.

Later: We just came back from a short cold walk. I always have Lou out once a day, if I can - & being Sunday we just went for a walk. She’s so cute with her rosy cheeks & blue suit & such blue blue eyes, like her daddy’s. – I asked her if she was cold & she said “Yes cheeks” - & when I said where else? She said “nose chin” – I got pretty cold on my legs, but I love snow as I guess my darling has already guessed –

Momma sure doesn’t feel good today – so guess that’s why I’m blue. –

Gee I hope I get a letter tomorrow.

Louise is sure a busy lady! – Just “go go go” every minute. She loves to take a pair of shoes & lace & unlace. They get pretty mixed up sometimes. She’s so good! – That one day only was she not! She also has a new tiny speck of a tooth peeking thru on the bottom, and I didn’t’ even know it. – Oh darling she’s so darn cute & smart.

At the party they admired my bracelet – I took it off & it went around the table! –

Two girls just came to see Louise, Shirlee & Beverly – I wish we were in LA don’t you? – Oh gee darling – all my mind takes care of is the thought of our being together.

Started tryouts for SS Christmas program. – I used to love that – but my mind skips over to Africa. Well – sweetheart! – To bed & love you so much – Goodnight dear.
