Dearest
Darling Wife,
Well Honey I received your sweet telegram this evening. Darling you are so
sweet and that telegram sounded so wonderful. Well I don’t think this will be
much of a letter because I have to work tonite, you
know like I told you darling. We are going to clean machine guns. It will
probably be about morning when we get through. I sure feel sick tonite. I think I took a cold on that hike the other nite. I bought me a box of buns and they usually break up a
cold for me. My little wife leaving sure didn’t make me feel good. Gosh Honey
that sure hurt me when we parted as bad as any time yet. I know you didn’t feel
good either Honey. We sure did take it though because we really understand
things Honey and we are now man and wife and that makes me the happiest man in
the world for that part.
Well Honey this is Saturday noon, I didn’t get to finish this last nite. I worked all nite and until
5 o’clock this morning. I slept all morning. Sure had some time sleeping with
all these guys around.
This won’t be much of a letter honey but I know a few lines will help. I feel
much better this morning. It sure is cold here now a lot colder than when you
were here darling.
Gosh Honey I love my little wife so darn much and you know I always will.
Darling it seems so swell being married to you, the sweetest little girl in all the world. You are so sweet baby and I really mean it.
Gosh I love you sweetheart. Darling you had better keep those clothes close to
your suitcase, because I want my baby back just as soon as possible.
Well darling I guess I had better close for this time and I will write you a
good letter tomorrow and I’ll be looking for your letters to and be seeing you
before long Honey.
Loads and loads of love to the sweetest wife in all the
world.
I love you so darn much and you know I always will Honey.
Thanks for that sweet telegram Honey and I am going to call Mrs. Green today.
I haven’t got my shipping orders yet.
Love and more love is all I can say to my darling wife.
Here’s a kiss to my sweet little wife X X X X
