My Dearest Darling wife,
Hello Honey, how is my darling little wife? Awful, awful sweet and fine I hope. You had better be darling. Well Honey there hasn’t been any mail came in yet today. I sure hope some comes in before the day is over. I feel so much better when I can hear from my little wife and know that you are all right dearest and that everything is going all right at home. You are so awful sweet and I love you so awful, awful much darling.
I sure hope that my next letter has some good news about Mother. Gee Honey I sure hope she is better and can get alright, but if not we know it is God’s will darling and that he is doing everything possible. I am so glad we can ask God to help us and really believe and everything like we do Honey. It makes us feel so much better and everything seems so much better darling. I sure hope you are taking good care of yourself now Honey. Please do for me Honey and always be thinking about you and me and how wonderful it will be when this is all over and we are in each others arms again.
I am feeling fine now darling and getting along swell. Everything is going along as good as could be expected here. I started driving a truck yesterday Honey. They have two shifts and we rotate every week. It is sort of a change and there wasn’t anything here along the cabinet making line so I am trying this. It is a change and really makes me feel different after following the same old routine. I sure hope you are on your vacation by now dearest. I hope that you can spend some of your time up home but I know how it is with Mother sick and you taking care of the house too. And darling I am sure hoping and praying that when you do get a new job that you will like it and feel a lot better. Cause I know how it is working and you don’t like the place and everything like that.
I guess spring is in at home by now darling. Gee what I wouldn’t give to be there with you dearest. It is always so nice in the spring and everything is always so pretty and wonderful, just like you dear. I love you so awful, awful much and you know I always will darling. I am so darn lonesome for you dearest and want to see you so bad. It will be so swell when we are together again and can be together all the time. Just you and me dear and our own bosses to do what we want to. I am so proud of you Honey and so darn glad we are married. Almost seven months now dearest and going on seven years that we have been together. We have really had some swell times dear and they haven’t started yet to what they will be when I get home. I love you so awful, awful much and you know I always will dearest. X
Well I guess I had better close for this time dear and I’ll write you as soon as possible now. I’ll be looking for your sweet letters Honey. Tell everyone hello for me dear and please take good care of my little blonde.
Love and more love to you dear.
Loads and loads of love to my dearest darling wife.
