My Dearest Darling Wife,

Hello Honey, how is my darling little wife? Awful awful sweet I know and fine I hope, you had better be dearest. I haven’t got any mail since Friday Honey but I am sure in hopes that I get some today dear. Those were the sweetest letters I got Friday Honey and made me feel so good. I sure hope you are getting my mail dearest cause I know how much your mail means to me Honey. You are so darn sweet and I love you so awful, awful much dear.

Gee Honey I hope you are feeling alright and getting a little rest by now. I sure hope Mother is better by now too dear. If only I was home and could help you dear. You have the house work to do and then go to the hospital and all the other odd jobs and all besides your job. I don’t see how you stand it dear, and you were going all the time you was on your vacation. Gosh Honey if only I was home and could help you. Please take care of yourself Honey and don’t get sick and don’t worry now darling cause you know God is doing everything in his power for mother. Please be careful now honey and take good care of my little wife.

I am feeling fine now dear and getting along all right. I have plenty of everything now darling. Everything is still going to same here dear, just the same thing. I got off guard about five yesterday afternoon. I am sure glad that is over for a few more days now anyway. I am sure glad I got the first time over with to. I will be working the morning shift this week from four thirty until two thirty.

Well darling this is Easter Sunday, but it is just another day in the army. I would sure like to have been home and went to church with you today darling and seen you in your Easter outfit. You never have said much about what you got for Easter darling, maybe I just haven’t got the letters yet, but I know you were awful sweet and precious and really looked swell. I want some pictures of you in your Easter outfit too dear. Gee darling I remember all the Easters we have spent together and how much fun we always had. I remember last Easter, we went to Church in the morning and then we went out home for dinner and then back to the hospital to see your Mother, we were together all day and all evening. I am so darn lonesome and want to see you so bad I can’t hardly stand it dear. Neither one of us will ever be happy or ever have a good time until we do get together darling. I just think about us all the time dear day and nite. If only the dream you had the other nite would come true right away Honey. We will be so darn happy when this is all over and we are back in each others arms Honey. I sure wish I would have sent you a card or something Honey, but I know you understand, there just isn’t anything here like that darling. I sure hope that this time next year I am home and can get you what I want to dear.

I’ll bet you sure had some time with Oliver and Emmett, Honey and then talking to Mr. and Mrs. Jacks. If only I could be back home and proudly introduce my little wife, but everyone will see us together all the time when I do get home darling. I sure wish I was in the states where I could get a furlough like Rob Jacks, but I guess I will never see home until this thing is all over. I guess some people just get the breaks all the way around.

I love you so awful, awful much darling and you know I always will dear. You are so darn precious and so awful sweet dear, my own little blonde. We will be so happy when we are together and can do whatever we want to darling. It will be so much fun getting our apartment and then planning and building our new home and our furniture. I will be so glad when I can get back on the job so we can save some more money. You just keep that little chin up darling and you know I will to and think about how much fun we will have when this is over. It will really be swell Honey and we will be so happy, my own little wife and me. I love you so awful, awful much and you know I always will dearest.

Well Honey I guess I had better close for this time and I’ll write you as soon as possible now darling. I’ll be looking for your sweet letters now dearest. Tell everyone hello for me now dearest and please take good care of yourself Honey.
