My Dearest Darling Wife,
Hello Honey, how is my darling little wife. Awful awful sweet I know and fine I hope. You had better be dearest. Well dolly no mail the last couple of days but I am sure hoping I get some before the day is over. Gosh Honey it is so darn swell when I can get your sweet letters. They make me feel so darn swell and so happy dear. Gosh darling you write such wonderful letters and honey getting some mail from you is the most important and the most wonderful part of my day, the one thing I have to look forward to when I get up in the morning. Gee darling you are so darn sweet and I love you so awful, awful much.
I am feeling fine now dear and getting along all right. I have plenty of everything now dear. It is a nice day here today, plenty hot though. I expect it is plenty warm at home now, at least it always is at this time of the year. This time last year we were together every day, remember dear. I was off two weeks from the twenty-fourth of July to the seventh of August. It was plenty hard for us because we knew we were going to be separated in a few days but we did have a good time. Remember we used to go downtown almost every day and then we would go up home and you stayed up home a couple of nites, the first time you ever stayed up there. Gosh Honey but it will be wonderful when this thing is all over and I am back in your arms again. We will be so happy and have so much fun and best of all we can be together all the time. I just think day and nite dear about how wonderful it will be. I think back to some of the swell times we have had and then I try to imagine how much more wonderful it would have been if we had been married and darling we just can’t imagine how swell it will really be. I know god will answer our prayers dear and bring us together as soon as possible.
I am sure glad you like that little locket I sent you dear. I sure wish I was where I could send you something different now. They don’t have anything over here hardly. Boy I will sure be glad when I can get you whatever I want to. Honey we will be so darn happy when we can go with each other to buy things and help each other pick out what we want.
Gosh Honey
I am sure glad you got to go out with Thad and Anna Mae, fishing. I’ll bet you
sure had a good time. You must have had some time with all those crowdads. Boy I have really seen some big fish since I left
home Honey. All kinds of them. I saw a lot of flying
fish. Almost all the way across you could see them and shock and seals just
about everything. It is really something to see all those different things.
Remember when we went fishing out to
I sure hope everything is going along alright now dear. I sure hope you aren’t working any overtime dear. Please be careful now Honey and get your rest and don’t work to hard. I am so happy about your job dear, you like it so darn well and they are so nice to you. It is just a lot better for you anyway you look at it dear.
I love you so awful, awful much and dearest you know I always will dear. Honey you are so darn wonderful and so precious, my own sweet little blonde. Gosh Honey isn’t it swell when two people like us find each other. I was never satisfied with anyone until I found you dear and I didn’t have to go with you many times to really know you was the one I wanted. As a matter of fact I believe we promised we would go steady with each other our first nite, didn’t we dear. Gee Honey you are the most wonderful little wife in the world. Seven years dear and never had an argument and love each other more every day. Honey we were really meant for each other. I love you so darn much dear and you know I always will.
Well dearest I guess I had better close for this time and I’ll write you as soon as possible now. I’ll be looking for your sweet letters now dear. Please be careful Honey and take good care of yourself. Tell all hello Honey,
Love and more love is all I can say dear.
Loads and loads of love to my dearest darling wife.
