My Dearest Darling Wife,

Hello Honey, how is my darling little wife. Awful awful sweet I know and fine I hope. You had better be dearest. Well darling no mail so far today but I am sure hoping I get some sweet letters this evening. Gosh Honey your mail means so darn much to me. Your letters are so darn precious and so sweet darling. They make me so happy and make me feel so swell. I sure hope you are getting my mail all right now Honey. Darling I don’t want you to worry now whenever you don’t hear from me for some time cause you know how the mail gets all messed up and you never know when you might take off to some other place. This army does things in a hurry sometimes Honey and you never know what they are going to do next. So now darling I won’t want you to worry anytime when you don’t hear from me for some time. I sure hope I am always in as good a place to send and receive mail as I am now Honey. Someplaces are sure bad, the only time they can send or receive mail is about once a month when a boat comes in. Won’t it be wonderful when we won’t have to write letters Honey and can be in each others arms. You are so darn sweet and I love you so awful, awful much dearest.

I am feeling fine now dear and getting along all right. I have plenty of everything now Honey. Well it is plenty warm here today. I am off work today and sure had a lot of work of my own to do. I done laundry this morning and I sure put out a nice white one to Honey. I also cleaned my cartridge belt. I wrote a letter to Uncle Marniers and one to my folks and now my sweet little wife. Boy Honey I sure ought to be able to help out a lot around the house when I get home after all the things I have to do in here such as washing and K.P. and everything like that. Won’t it be swell when we can help each other do everything darling. Every minute of our time that we aren’t working on our jobs will be spent together darling. We will be so happy Honey, the happiest little couple on earth.

Honey dear I would like to have another can of that Mexican heat powder. I use that every day and it sure is good. There is a skin disease we get over here if we don’t dry good after taking a shower. You usually get it under the arms or between the legs and I always use this powder after I take a shower and I haven’t been bothered at all since I started using this powder. So darling the next time you are downtown you get me another can of that. Honey you are so darn swell to me and always send me such swell things.

I am so darn lonesome for you dear and want to see you so darn bad. Gosh Honey it has been thirteen months since we last saw each other. I never will forget the nite we left each other on Mrs. Green’s porch. Gosh Honey we sure had a wonderful time in Texas and it will sure be swell when we go back there on our honeymoon and we will be free to go wherever we want to. Honey remember the first nite at the Baker hotel. We sure had a wonderful time there three weeks Honey and that isn’t half as swell as it will be when we get back together and I am a free man. Gosh Honey it will sure be a wonderful day in our life when we can set eyes upon each other. There will sure be a lot of hugging and kissing going on darling and we will sure be two happy people.

I sure hope everything is going along swell with you Honey and that you are feeling swell. I am sure glad you aren’t working any overtime now dear. Gosh Honey you have a plenty to do just working regular hours. You was so darn discouraged honey and so unhappy, cause you was just wore out all the time dear and you didn’t have any time to yourself. Gee darling it will sure be swell when we get straightened out and you can quit working. You have done so much for us dear and saved us a bunch of money.

I love you so awful, awful much and you know I always will dearest. You are so darn precious and so wonderful darling, my sweet little blonde. Isn’t it swell to be married to the one you love Honey. It gives a person such a different feeling Honey. Everything we do now is with the thought of each other and with the thought of our love and everything like that. Honey we sure wouldn’t be as happy as we are now if we weren’t married and then when we get back together we will be together from the first minute on. Honey you are so darn sweet, the most precious little wife in this world. Honey dear I know God hears our prayers and will bring us together as soon as possible. You keep that sweet little chin up now dear and you know I will to Honey. I know everything will turn out swell for us now dear. Darling I am going to tickle those sweet little feet now, yes I am now darling. Honey I love you so awful, awful much and you know I always will.

Well dolly I guess I had better close for this time and I’ll write you as soon as possible now dear. I’ll be looking for your sweet letters now Honey. Please be awful careful Honey and take good care of yourself now. Remember chin up and always happy dearest. Tell all hello for me now dear.
