Dear Tommy-
I wonder if you received my letter. I told you about Sept 15th. In the letter I told you about my intention of going to K. C. well I did for the week end of Oct. 1st.
I went out to see your Mother on Saturday Oct. 2nd, your Father was working, so I went back out
for breakfast Sunday morning Oct. 3rd. I left that evening at 5:30
back to
I took your Mother and we went down to see Naomi. You sure have a fine wife and I wished I could have visited with her longer. When this war is over we want you both to spend a month with us. You will do for a good rest and we have a good place for it here.
Your Mother and Dad sure did look good. They are getting along good, they miss you very much but Sonny they are not along. I told them you would come home ok.
I know Tommy you are a good Christian, Have faith Son, God will watch over you and take care of you and bring you back safe to your Wife, Mother, Father, & those others that love you.
Fall weather has set in here Really it has been cool, some ice formed in the fish pond this morning- Well it gets cooler on the mountain, although there was some frost in the valley.
I am inclosing a dollar bill which I want you to get something you want for Christmas.
Hope you had a Merry Christmas. Hoping we all can be together next Christmas-
For Best Wishes
