My Dearest Darling Wife,

Hello Honey, how is my darling little wife. Awful, awful sweet I know and fine I hope. You had better be dearest. Gosh Honey I got three of the sweetest letters from you today and was I ever thrilled. Gosh honey three of them and they was all so darn wonderful, just like all your letters are dear. They was the eleventh, twenty sixth, and twenty eighth Honey. That was pretty darn good. I also got four letters from the folks and a Christmas card from Aunt T and one from the Crawfords. The mail sure did come in good today and boy that really makes a wonderful day when you can get a lot of mail. Gosh Honey your letters are so darn wonderful and they mean so darn much to me dearest. They make me so darn happy and make me feel so darn swell all over Honey. You had been getting my mail pretty good to Honey and I sure hope you still are. You are so darn sweet and I love you so awful, awful much dearest.

I am feeling fine now darling and getting along all right. I have plenty of everything now dear. Well Honey it has been plenty hot here today the same as usual. It rained off and on all day to. It is about eight o’clock in the evening now dear and the mosquitoes are so thick that I can hardly write a word without taking a swat at a mosquito. They are the darnest things I ever saw. I never realized that there could ever be anything like those darn things. Honey I sure hope it is nice at home now and not to cold. Gee but I would love to be there with you dear. We would be having such a wonderful time and we would be so darn happy.

Honey dear you know I’m not getting discouraged now. I know my time will come, so I can get some good wages. I know that sometimes I do get kind of blue but you know how hot it is dear. Darling I love you so darn much and I just want to be doing everything in my power to really make you a good husband now. There isn’t much I can do now but you know when this thing is all over I will make you the best husband I know how dear. Darling you know I’ll always be the best soldier I know how. Honey I promise I’ll never get discouraged now. Remember that promise we made a few months ago dear. Honey you know I’ll keep my promise and I know you will to dear. Darling I know you are doing everything in your power to make my arrival back home sooner. You are so darn wonderful dearest and gee but I am proud of you. You have worked so darn hard dearest and saving us money and everything like that. I know Honey and I have always known that I have the most precious and most perfect little wife on earth and I am so thankful to God for giving me the most wonderful little wife in the world. Honey just like you said, we are getting along swell and almost everyone is going through this same thing just like we are. I know everything will turn out swell for us Honey and we’ll be back together before long now. I know God hears our prayers and will bring us together as soon as possible now. Darling I have the most precious little wife in this world and you know I’ll never get discouraged in doing my part to make a swell world for us to live in. I know you understand how everything is dear. I know us fellows will have a better chance than the rest when we get out of the army and everything like that. Honey dear you know I’m not going to get discouraged now and darling you’re not going to either are you Honey dear please don’t ever get discouraged in any way now. I know we will be back in each others arms before long now and we will be so darn happy. Honey we are both going to keep our promise now and always be as happy as possible and never discouraged. You will now won’t you darling. Honey you are so darn sweet and gee the most adorable little wife on earth.

Honey you said in one of your latest letters today that you still had a little of your cold but not that bad. I sure hope you are rid of all of it by now darling. Please take good care of my sweet little wife Honey. I know you will dearest. We will sure take good care of each other when we get back together darling. Honey you said you was going to put in an order to Wards for some want shirts and other things. I am sure glad you are darling cause you don’t want to get cold. I’ll bet you don’t get cold when I get home darling cause I am sure going to keep you warm. We will be such swell bed partners Honey.

Honey I sure hope you have your fur coat by now and I sure hope you like it after it is finished. That sure ought to make you a nice coat darling and it will sure be warm to. Darling I want you to get anything you want and anything you see you want Honey. I want you to get it. It will sure be swell when we can go together to get our clothes Honey.

I love you so awful, awful much dearest and you know I always will Honey. You are so darn precious and so wonderful in every way Honey. Gee but it is swell to be married to the one you love. We will be so darn happy when we get back in each others arms Honey. And darling I am sure going to tickle those sweet little feet. The first nite we are together to Honey, yes I am now. You had better be taking good care of my precious parts darling, gee but they are wonderful. You are so darn pretty in every way Honey, gee but you are wonderful. It will be so darn swell when we can tell each other in person just how swell and just how much we really love each other. I know there is no other couple of earth that love each other more than we do honey. You are so darn sweet Honey and I love you so awful, awful much and you know I always will dear.

Well dolly I guess I had better close for this time and I’ll write you as soon as possible now dear. I’ll be looking for your sweet letters now Honey. Please be awful careful and take good care of yourself Honey. Remember now darling, chin up and always happy. Tell all hello for me dear.
