My Dearest Darling Wife,

Hello sweet little angel, how is my darling little wife. Awful, awful sweet I know and fine I hope. You had better be dearest. Well Honey no sweet letters today but boy I sure had a sweet one waiting for me when I got in from work last nite and I was so darn thrilled to get it dearest. It was an older one Honey, written November the twentieth. I also got a nice Christmas card from Thad and Anna Mae and one of those little devotional booklets from Reverend Meyer and three letters from the folks, the latest one was the twenty third of December so that was pretty good time. Gosh Honey your precious letters mean the world and all to me and they are so darn sweet. They make me so awful darn happy and make me feel so wonderful all over dearest. Gosh Honey your wonderful letters give me the grandest feeling, gee but they are heavenly dearest. Honey dear won’t it be wonderful when we are back in each others arms and won’t have to write letters anymore. Darling I sure hope you are getting my letters all right now. You are so darn sweet dearest and I love you so awful darn much.

I am feeling fine now dearest and getting along all right in every way now. I have plenty of everything now dearest. Well dearest we had some more rain this morning not so awful much though. It has stopped now but looks as though we might get some more before tomorrow. Sure hope the weather is nice at home now darling and not to cold. Was supposed to go to work at six this morning, but it was to wet to work. Boy I sure was tired when I got in last nite, sure did put in a hard shift yesterday evening. This darn climate keeps a guy so that you are always tired. It seems like you can sleep ten or twelve hours and get up just as tired as you was when you went to bed. Of course when we are working like we are now we have a different time to sleep every day and that really breaks a guys rest up. Gosh Honey it will be so darn wonderful when I am back in your arms and we can really start our life together. We will be so darn happy and everything will be so wonderful dearest.

Honey you was saying in the letter I received yesterday that you and Helen went to one of the girls wedding. I’ll bet it was nice dear and honey I know it made you think so much about us. When we get back together it will just be like getting married again dear. Gee but we will have a wonderful time and be so darn happy. Honey you said you and the girls were going bowling that coming Tuesday nite and Helen was going along to watch. Sure glad you were going dear and I know you girls really have a nice time when you go out together like that. Gosh Honey this past month you haven’t done anything but work day and nite. I know you are just wore down darling. I sure hope you take a few days off now and rest up dearest. Things will sure be a lot easier on you and better for you now dearest that you are all moved and everything cause that other place was so darn big and so hard to take care of. Honey dearest please be awful, awful careful now and take wonderful care of my sweet little wife and please don’t work to hard now darling.

Honey dear you said you was going to have your Christmas dinner the Thursday before Christmas and that they were going to have a Christmas party for you to. Sure hope you had a nice dinner dear and had a nice party to. I know you girls really had a good time. You said they were letting you off from Friday not till Tuesday morning to. Gee darling I was so darn glad to hear that and I know you sure were happy to get off to darling. Honey dear I sure hope you are over that cough now. I know you take wonderful care of my sweet little wife dearest, but please be awful careful Honey.

Darling you said you was getting your new blouse you had made. I’ll bet that is sure pretty dearest and that sure is a pretty color. Honey dear I sure hope you got you a nice outfit for Christmas and I sure hope you took some pictures for me in it to dear. Gee darling your wonderful pictures mean so darn much to me and they are so precious darling. I look at your wonderful pictures all the time darling, gosh Honey seems like I should be able to talk to you they are so real. Sure wish I could get some pictures fixed up for you darling but we don’t have any way of developing them. I guess we never will be able to take pictures like we did in Fiji. Darling I sure hope you can take me a lot of pictures now and dearest I sure would like to have a big one of you to.

Dearest I sure do remember that first nite we spent in Texas. It was such a wonderful nite dearest and we was so darn happy. Honey you are darn right I will be washing your back. Gee darling won’t it all be heavenly and we will be so darn happy. Honey I can do the front to can’t I. I’ll betcha I do dearest. Honey you know where I would have been if I had been there the other nite when you was sitting there thinking about me. Right in there by you darling, yes I would dear, just like we was that first nite there in Texas dear. Honey I am so darn glad you have a swell bathroom now, it will be so darn swell for you dear and so handy for you darling. Boy Honey we are sure going to have a nice one in our little home to. We could have a shower fixed right with the tub like that one there at the Baker and then have one in the basement to for use in the summer when it is awful hot. Don’t you think that would be swell dearest.

Honey dear you are so darn sweet and I love you so awful darn much and you know I always will dolly. You are so darn sweet and so precious in every way darling. Honey dear one of my letters day before yesterday had the sweetest kiss on it and gee but it was wonderful when we can hold each other so tight and kiss each other one time after another. Darling I know God hears our prayers and will keep us safe and bring us together as soon as possible dearest. Remember darling without any towel, how about all nite dear. Honey dear you are the sweetest and most adorable little wife in this world and I love you so awful, awful much and you know I always will dear.

Well sug I guess I had better close for this time and I’ll write you as soon as possible now dearest. I’ll be looking for your precious letters now dolly. Honey dear please be awful, awful careful now and take wonderful care of my sweet little wife. Remember now darling chin up and always happy. Tell all hello dearest.
