My Dearest Darling Wife,
Hello sweet little angel, how is my darling little wife. Awful, awful sweet I know and fine I hope. You had better be dolly. Gee darling I received three of the sweetest letters yesterday and I was so darn thrilled to get them. I also got four from the folks dear. Honey yours was January the thirty first, February the second and fifth so that was pretty good time. Gosh Honey I haven’t been able to write you for a couple of days now and I never have got a letter off to the folks but I think in about two or three days now I will be straightened out so I can write about every day. Gee darling I sure hope your mail keeps coming now. Your precious letters mean the world and all to me dearest and they are so darn sweet. They make me so awful, awful happy darling and make me feel so wonderful all over. I sure hope you are getting my letters all right now Honey.
I am feeling fine now dearest and getting along all right in every way now. I have plenty of everything now dearest. Well Honey the weather has been pretty nice so far here and I sure hope it stays nice. It is awful hot though and the sun on this white coral is sure bad. Sure hope the weather is nice at home now dearest. Well Honey I mashed my thumb yesterday so if you can’t read this you will know why dear. I got it caught between two levers on the tractor and really mashed it. I don’t know whether the nail will come off or not but I expect it will. Have been working from six till two in the afternoon on the job Honey and then coming in and working till dark on the tent. I was so tired last nite I could hardly move and we don’t have any lights yet so when dark comes you can’t write or anything. Gee darling it will be so darn wonderful when I am out of this thing and back in your sweet arms for good. We will be so awful happy dearest and everything will be so swell.
Honey dear
I received two more packages since I last wrote you to. They were both real
nice Honey. One was from Mac and Peg and one was from Mr. and Mrs. Stephens you
know dear, those folks that run the feed store up in
Well Honey the rotation quota for March came in and we only had four men. Boy what a letdown. I am sure hoping that next month will be a big one. It’s just like I wrote you dear, you never know from month to month what the quota will be. I always write you every thing I hear about dear cause Honey I want you to know just exactly how things are going. Surely our time will come sometime this summer dear and gee but we will be a happy couple when our day does come. Honey I think all the time about our first meeting and what it will really mean to us. Gosh Honey I’ll bet we hold each other so awful tight and kiss each other so darn much. It will be one of the happiest days in our life dearest and gee but everything will be wonderful.
Honey dear you are so darn sweet and I love you so awful darn much and you know I always will dolly. Honey dear we are so happily married and love each other more every day. Gee darling I’ll bet we never let go of each other when we get back together. Please take wonderful care of my precious parts Honey, gee but they are wonderful and I love them so awful much. You are the sweetest and most adorable little wife in this world dearest and I love you so darn much and you know I always will dear.
Well sug I guess I had better close for this time and I’ll write you as soon as possible now dearest. I’ll be looking for you precious letters now dolly. Please be awful, awful careful now Honey and take wonderful care of my sweet little wife. Remember now dear chin up and always happy. Tell all hello dear.
