My Dearest Darling Wife,

Hello sweet little angel, how is my darling little wife. Awful, awful sweet I know and fine I hope. You had better be dolly. Well sweetie no mail today but those two yesterday were so wonderful darling. Sure hope that tomorrow brings some sweet letters. Gee darling your precious letters mean so awful darn much to me and they are so darn sweet. They make me so awful, awful happy dear and make me feel so wonderful all over. Gosh Honey they give me the grandest feeling. I sure do hope you are getting my letters all right now dearest. Gosh dear won’t it be heavenly when we are in each others arms and won’t have to write letters any more. Honey you are so darn sweet and I love you so awful, awful darn much.

I am feeling fine now dearest and getting along all right in every way. I have plenty of everything now darling. Well dearest it has been a pretty nice day here but gee so awful hot. It sure has been awful here lately. Sure hope you are having some nice weather now dearest. Worked today Honey and it sure was hot with that sun glowing off this white coral and then all the heat from the tractor to. I sure was dirty when I get in tonite to, it is so awful dusty now, hasn’t rained for several days. Boy Honey I sure know how we will be dressed at home on a how nite like this. Won’t it be heavenly to be dressed so comfy around the hours dear and when ever we go out for a drive in the evening and not going any place in special. We will be so darn happy dearest and everything will be so heavenly.

I received a piece in one of Mothers last letters telling about Minnie Porters husband being killed in Germany. I sure did hate to hear that, they seemed to get along so swell and he sure seemed like a nice kid, I don’t know whether you ever met him or not dear. She was always my favorite of Aunt Pearl’s kids to. I guess she got a little wild in the past few years though, don’t know how she has been since he left. Mother was saying that Scotty Carson is in the infantry over in Germany now to. Boy a lot of those guys that stayed out so long sure got sent right to the front in a hurry. I sure do hope they can whip those Germans now in a few days. They sure have them going but there is still quite a few miles to go. Gosh Honey won’t it be wonderful when this thing is all over and the whole world settles down once again and we can really start our life together and be in each others arms for the rest of our lives.

Gosh Honey I sure hope you have your glasses fixed by now. I have never received your letter telling me about breaking them honey but you was telling me about working without them and you was supposed to get them the Saturday before Easter. I am sure glad you got your glasses when you did darling cause it is hard working with those small figures without glasses and you used to have headaches before you got them to darling. Gee darling you said you really had a lot of work to. I’ll bet those beautiful little eyes did burn Honey, working without your glasses. Sure hope that Faye was just off that one day darling cause it is so hard on you trying to do all that by yourself. Please take it easy now darling and please don’t work to hard now.

Sure hope you got to fulfill all your Easter plans dearest. It would have been so swell if we could of spent it together dear and Honey we surely will be able to spend it together next year darling. Sure hope you get to the sunrise services dear and then out to Mothers and Dads for breakfast. Sure hope you got to go by Helen Huffs and showed her your new outfit darling. I know you really looked wonderful dearest just like my precious little dolly always does. Gosh Honey you have so awful much pride and I know you always will to darling. Gosh Honey you wear your clothes so perfect and always buy and make all your clothes so perfect dearest. Gee but I am proud of you darling. Won’t it be wonderful when we can help each other get all our clothes and wear our clothes for each other dearest. Honey you said you wanted a live rabbit. Well dearest if you want one get you one. They sure are pretty, especially those all white ones. I used to have a whole bunch of them dearest. If you got one dearest you will have to have a pretty good place to keep it dear or Peppers will have a nice meal of rabbit.

I was sure glad to hear that Mother got to meet Reverend Meyer dear. She said she was going to introduce herself when she saw him and he wasn’t busy. She said she was going to visit Mrs. Meyer as soon as she got out of the oxygen tent. I never have received any letters from Mother since she met Reverend Meyer though but I know she will really like both him and her dear and visit Mrs. Meyer whenever she gets a chance. Sure glad to hear that Reverend Meyer sent me a letter to. I should be getting it now before long but most of his mail comes by boat.

Well Honey the boys here in the tent are sure having a time tonite. They have a small electric motor out of a crushed up plane and they have made a fan for it and we now have an electric fan, don’t know how long it will last will all the original ideas. Boy a bunch of guys in the service sure do think up a lot of different things. We have sure got this monkey spoiled dearest. He sure does some of the darnest things. You smack your lips at him and boy does he ever work his mouth. He got into some cigarettes and tobacco the other day and he tore the cigarettes all up one of the boys bed and then poured the tobacco all over the bed. He used his front feet just like a person does their hands.

Honey dear the first chance you get you can send me some Fritcko shampoo and some Fitch hair oil if you can get it dearest. Thought I would try that darling and see if it would stop some of this falling hair. Every one is losing their hair here it seems. I don’t know whether it is the water here or what it is. Sure glad I had thick hair and I sure don’t want to lose any more than I can keep from. Sure do hope I get my other packages dearest. Gee darling you are so darn wonderful to me and always send me so many nice things.

Darling you are so darn sweet and I love you so awful darn much and you know I always will. You are so awful sweet and precious dearest. Darling we are so happily married and love each other more every day. Honey dear you are such a perfect little wife, so awful pretty from the tips of my beautiful blonde hair to the tips of my sweet little toes. Honey dear I know God hears our prayers and will keep us safe and bring us together as soon as possible. Honey dear please take wonderful care of my precious parts, gee but they are wonderful and I love them so darn much. Yours are fine dolly, miss you so awful darn much but they will be together before long now dearest. Honey you are the sweetest and most adorable little wife in this world and I love you so awful, awful darn much and you know I always will dearest.

Well sug I guess I had better close for this time and I’ll write you as soon as possible now. I’ll be looking for your precious letters now dolly. Please be awful, awful careful now dearest and take wonderful care of my sweet little wife. Remember now dearest, chin up and always happy. Tell all hello dear.
