My Dearest Darling Wife,

Hello sweet little angel, how is my darling little wife. Awful, awful sweet I know and fine I hope. You had better be dearest. Gee darling I received the sweetest letter from you today and I was so thrilled to get it dear. It was so darn sweet and precious Honey, just like all your wonderful letters are. It was June the twenty first so that was pretty time dear. Gee darling, your precious letters mean the world and all to me and they are so darn sweet. They make me so awful, awful happy dear and make me feel so wonderful all over. Gosh Honey it just gives me the grandest feeling all over when I can get your precious letters. You had been getting my mail good in my letter yesterday to dear and I was sure glad to hear that. Sure hope you are getting it good now dear. You are so awful sweet dear and I love you so awful darn much.

I am feeling fine now dearest and getting along all right in every way now. I have plenty of everything now dear. Well Honey it is a pretty nice day today. Has been raining some so it isn’t so awful hot. Sure hope you are having some nice weather now dear. Well Honey I am on the nite shift now. I slept until about ten this morning and now it is about time to go to work again. It sure don’t seem like a guy had much time to yourself, just on the go all the time.

Honey dear you was still sick in my letter yesterday. Gee darling I sure do hope you are better by now. Honey you was saying that Doke was sure snoty about letting you off when you was sick. Darling if he keeps that up you know you don’t have to work there. You don’t have to take that kind of stuff dear cause there is plenty of other jobs. Darling when you just get to feeling a little bad I want you to stay home and take good care of my adorable little wife. I sure hope you stay home until you are completely well now dear. I know it is really hard working under conditions like that to dear. Honey, Mother was telling me to that Clarence said you was nervous. Please take it easy now dear and don’t worry about a thing. Gee darling I sure hope you get along all right now. Yes Honey you stay under the doctors care now and take it awful easy. And darling like I wrote you before, if you think you would like to go out to California I want you to go. I want you to do anything you want to dear and be happy Honey. Gosh darling I am so worried about you and am hoping so much that you are better in my next letter. Please take it awful easy now dear and Honey if you aint feeling well, don’t work, just stay home and rest dear and keep my sweet little wife well. Gee darling it will be so darn wonderful when I am back in your precious arms and can look after you all the time. I’ll be right there with you every minute dear to do anything you want me to. Surely something will turn up before long dear so we will be back in each others arms before so very long. I know God hears our prayers Honey and will keep us safe and bring us together as soon as possible now.

Honey you was asking me about the bronze stars and sent me those clippings out of the paper. Well dear that is different from what mine is. These bronze stars we get are for combat duty at different places and go on our campaign ribbons. Those clippings you sent me dear are an entirely different thing. As far as points go though that is five points just the same as we get for each one of ours. These we get doesn’t mean so awful much but they mean five points to us and that’s what we are after dear. There is a lot of these things that are hard to explain in writing dear but when I get home in your precious arms dear I will be able to tell you all about everything and explain everything to you. It will take me a long time to tell you all about everything honey and it will be so heavenly to hold you tight in my arms darling and just talk and talk to you dear. Gee but I am hoping and praying so much that this point system works out in some way. I sure wish they would set something more different on it. They were supposed to announce some new plan on it today but I guess they havn’t yet.

Darling I’ll bet your roses sure are pretty. You always did have such good luck with roses dear. These are sure young dear to be blooming already. Boy Honey we are sure going to have our yard fixed up nice when we get our little home. It will be so much fun doing everything together dear and fixing everything up like we want it.

Honey dear you are so darn sweet and I love you so awful awful darn much and you know I always will dear. You are so sweet and precious in every way dolly. Gosh Honey we are so happily married and love each other more every day. We sure wouldn’t be as happy as we are now dear if we werent married. You are such a perfect little wife, dearest, so pretty from the tips of my beautiful blond hair to the tips of my sweet little toes and gee all mine. Gee darling won’t it be heavenly when we get in our room and can do whatever we want. [edited for content] miss you so darn much but they will be together before long dear. Honey you are the sweetest and most adorable little wife in this world and I love you so awful, awful darn much and you know I always will dear.

Well sug I guess I had better close for this time and I’ll write you as soon as possible now dear. I’ll be looking for your precious letters now dear. Please be awful, awful careful dearest and take wonderful care of my sweet little wife. Remember now chin up and alwayss happy dear. Tell hello Honey.
