August 1, 1945
Dear Thomas well here I am again and
I am out here on the back steps doing this writing so don’t be surprised if you
cant read it so well. But this is the coolest place
and dad he mowing the grass. Well Mrs. Charlson was
over to see my house and she thought it sure did look nice. Well no mail today
but I have got two letters all ready this week well one more day and then I go
back to work but I have got all the work caught up around here but cleaning out
the basement so I get that one of these Saturdays and I have for the washing
all done and I got most all the zoning done to. I finish it tomorrow morning.
Well Naomi came up last nite her dad has got some new
tires now so she not afraid to drive the car. So here she came and she fixed my
hair for one and it sure is nice now and is cool to. She wants us to come over
there for dinner Sunday so we are going but dad don’t want to go because her
dad had not been over here to eat a meal but I told him I was not going for him
I was going for Naomi and you. Well I close for now and write you tonite again so answer as soon as possible mother and dad.
