My
Dearest Darling Wife,
Hello sweet little angel, how is my
darling little wife. Awful, awful sweet I know and fine I hope. You had better
be dearest. Well dolly no mail for a couple of days now but I am sure hoping
that some comes in before the day is over. Gee darling your precious letters
mean the world and all to me and they are so darn sweet. They make me so awful,
awful happy dearest and make me feel so wonderful all over. Gosh Honey it just
gives me the grandest feeling all over when I can get your precious letters.
Honey I sure hope you are getting my mail all right now. You are so darn sweet
dolly and I love you so darn much.
I am feeling fine now dearest and
getting along all right in every way now. I have plenty of everything now dear.
Well Honey it is a pretty nice day here, plenty warm but not to bad. There is a
stray breeze blowing and that sure does help out. Sure hope you are having some
nice weather now dear and sure hope it isn’t to hot there now. Well Honey I am still
on the three to eleven shift, about one more nite of
it I guess.
Honey you asked me what kind of soap
I needed. It is face soap dear. Darling I would of
written you for some but I kind of thought that kind of soap was hard to get to
and I didn’t want you running short dear. It just happened that I had quite a
supply of soap and I have had enough to last me up until now. It sure seems to
me like they could get a hold of plenty of things like that but I guess not. We
haven’t had anything for a long time now. Maybe now that the war is over that
is won’t be to long before they will stop rationing a lot of things and a
person will be able to get the things they want.
Honey in yesterdays letter I sent
you a picture. It isn’t very good dear but the film was stuck and I guess it
was lucky it came out as good as it did. I have three dear and I will send you
the negatives of each and maybe you can get them developed better than these
prints are. It won’t be so awful long until we will be
in each others arms dear and will be able to take pictures together. Honey
please try and take some for me whenever you can cause
they mean so darn much to me. They might be a little freer with picture taking
and such as that now that the war is over but I expect all that will take quite
a while.
Boy Honey the folks sure did enjoy
the dinner the other Sunday. I got a letter telling me all about my wife’s
wonderful cooking and all the good things you had for dinner dear. Gee darling
what I wouldn’t of gave to been there and it surely won’t be so awful long
before I will be there with you dear. Honey dear you asked me how I liked the
sound of all those good things you had for dinner. Gosh Honey I just wouldn’t
know hoe to act to sit down to a meal like that. It sure will seem funny to eat
off dishes again dear and all the other things that don’t go like the army.
Honey you are such a swell little cook and I am so darn proud of you darling.
Gee darling you are so swell to the folks and always doing everything in your
power for them, just the most precious and most wonderful little wife in this
world and all my very own. Gosh Honey won’t it be wonderful to be together and
have our folks come to visit us and have dinner and parties and all like that.
Gee darling everything will be so wonderful and we will be so darn happy.
Well Honey from all indications it
seems as though they are going to start discharging by the point system. I sure
am hoping that it won’t take them to long to get down to me but if my luck on
getting back holds out I expect it will be way down the list. Gee but I hope
they really get on the ball now and get the guys out in a hurry. Darling I am
so darn lonesome for you and want to see you so darn bad I don’t know what to
do. Gosh Honey we have been waiting so long and now it is all over and now we
have been to wait some more but we know that in the near future we will be in
each others arms darling and gee what a wonderful feeling it is.
Honey dear you are so darn sweet and
I love you so darn much and you know I always will dolly. Honey we are so
happily married and love each other more everyday. Gee darling wont it be wonderful when we can hold each other so awful tight and
kiss each other one time after another one time after another. Honey I know God
hears our prayers and will keep us safe and bring us together as soon as
possible now. Please take wonderful care of my precious parts dearest, gee but
they are wonderful and I love them so darn much. Yours are fine dear, miss you
so much. Honey you are the sweetest and most adorable little wife in this world
and I love you so darn much and you know I always will dear.
Well sug I
guess I had better close for this time and I’ll write you as soon as possible
now dear. I’ll be looking for your precious letters now dolly. Please be awful,
awful careful now dear and take wonderful care of my sweet little wife.
