My Dearest Darling Wife,
Hello sweet little angel, how is my darling little wife. Awful, awful sweet I know and fine I hope. You had better be dearest. Honey dear I received the sweetest letter from you today and I was so thrilled to get it Honey. It was so darn sweet and precious dear just like all your wonderful letters are. Gee darling your precious letters mean the world and all to me and they are so darn sweet. They make me so awful, awful happy dearest and make me feel so wonderful all over. Honey your precious letter today was the tenth of August so that was pretty good time. Gosh Honey I sure hope you are getting my mail all right now. You know I will always write you as often and as much as possible now dear. Honey you are so darn sweet and I love you so awful darn much.
I am feeling fine now dearest and getting along all right in every way now. I have plenty of everything now dear. Well Honey it has been another rainy day here and it is raining right now. It sure is cool here now when it rains. I really get chilly sometimes after being so darn used to it so awful hot. Sure hope you are having some nice weather now dear and sure hope it isn’t to hot. Well I am still on the day shift dear, about two more days and then I will be on the nite shift again.
Well Honey it looks like the old Japs are finally giving in, most of them anyway. I sure am anxious to see what happens when we start going in there. I sure hope they get that final paper signed now and get everything under control. Gosh Honey I still can’t realize that it is all over and that in a matter of time now I will be back in your precious arms. I don’t think I will ever be able to realize it is really true until I get started for home. I sure would like to see them make a recount now I would have eighty-three. Gosh Honey I am so darn lonesome for you and want to see you so darn bad. It just seems like they don’t come out definite with anything to really let a guy know where we stands. We know that our time isn’t so far off though dear and that in the near future we will be in each others arms.
Honey dear you still haven’t received your check yet either. I sure can’t figure that out. I just went up to see the company clerk but he has already gone out so I will see him tomorrow if I get a chance and see what he says. I sure hope you have gotten it by now dear.
Darling you asked me if I would be satisfied at home. Honey dear you know I will. Gosh Honey I’ll be the happiest guy on earth when I am back in your sweet arms to stay and I know that I won’t have to leave anymore. Honey dear I know that for my part and I believe most all of the fellows that we will appreciate home and all it has to offer so much more now than we ever did in our lives. When a fellow comes in the service he gives up just about everything that home has to offer and especially after you get over seas. I can’t really explain it in writing dear but Honey when I get in your arms and can tell you just a few things I am sure that you will really know how much home means to me and how awful happy and satisfied I will be dear. No Honey I haven’t changed a bit. I am the same husband that kissed you good bye thirty five months ago today or in a day or so now dear it will be thirty five. I am the same in every way dear, just a little older maybe quite a bit darker from the sun or something like that but other wise the same Tommy as always. I am sure that you will agree with me after I get in your arms darling. Honey dear you know I will never change. Gee darling it will be so awful wonderful when we are back in each others arms and can live the life we want to. It is so wonderful that we were able to be married before I left dear and know we will be able to be together every minute from the very first minute on dear. Honey you know there won’t be a happier guy in the world than me when I get back in your precious arms and darling I’ll be the same husband as I was when I left.
Honey dear you are so darn sweet and I love you so darn much and you know I always will dolly. Gee darling all of my latest letters have had the sweetest kisses on them and it makes me so darn happy to see my sweet little lip prints dearest. It won’t be long Honey until we can have our lips so tight together and our arms around each other so tight and gee how happy we will be dolly. Honey dear I know God hears our prayers and will keep us safe and bring us together as soon as possible now. Please take wonderful care of my precious parts dearest, gee but they are wonderful and I love them so darn much. Yours are fine dearest, miss you so darn much. You are the sweetest and most adorable little wife in this world dear and I love you so darn much and you know I always will dear.
Well sug I guess I had better close for this time and I’ll write you as soon as possible now dear. I’ll be looking for your precious letters now dolly. Please be awful, awful careful now dear and take wonderful care of my sweet little wife. Remember now dear chin up and always happy. Tell all hello dear.
