My Dearest Darling Wife,

Hello sweet little angel, how is my darling little wife. Awful, awful sweet I know and fine I hope. You had better be dolly. Well Honey no sweet letters so far today but I am sure hoping some comes in before the day is over. Gee darling your precious letter yesterday was so darn sweet and precious just like all your wonderful letters are dolly. Honey they make me so awful, awful happy and make me feel so wonderful all over. They mean the world and all to me dearest and they are so darn sweet. Gee darling won’t it be wonderful when we are back in each others arms and won’t have to write letters any more. I sure hope you are getting my letters all right now dear. Honey dear, you know I will always write you as often and as much as possible now. You are so darn sweet dear and I love you so awful darn much.

I am feeling fine now dearest and getting along all right in every way now. I have plenty of everything now dear. Well Honey it is raining here today so it is kind of a dreary day. Sure hope you are having some nice weather at home now dear. It should really be nice there now, not to hot and not to cold. Gee darling it will be so darn wonderful when I am back in your precious arms and we can really enjoy every season together. Well dear my arm is better today not so awful sore.

Well dear today is V.J. [Victory over Japan] Day and I am sure glad it is officially over. It sure has taken a long time to get everything all signed but I guess it is at last finished. Isn’t it so awful wonderful to know that the whole world is finally at peace dear. Now if only they lower the points and take a recount and we can get turned loose in a short time. If everything goes all right we might be able to make it back by the first of the year but I doubt it. It surely won’t be so long after that though dear. Gee darling I just think all the time about us and about how wonderful everything is going to be. Honey dear we have been waiting for over three years for all this and now it is really over. Just think honey in just a few days it will be three years since we kissed each other good-bye and gee what a long time that is dearest. Honey dear we can’t really imagine how wonderful it will all really be. We will think we are just dreaming for the first few days darling. We will be so awful, awful happy dear and everything will be so darn wonderful

Honey you said something in one of your letters about censorship. Well dear it seems to me that they would drop it now that the war is over but they are still strict on it. I guess that maybe in time they will stop doing it. I think they stopped it on the other side when the war was over.

Darling you was saying that Evelyn, Mildred and you went downtown the other nite and had dinner and then went to the Esquire to the show. I am sure glad you went dear and sure glad you liked the show. I have only been to the show a couple of times since we got here. The way we have been working there wasn’t much time and then I am so darn tired of seeing shows and having to sit on a log or something like that to see it that I just don’t care much about going. It will be so darn wonderful when I am back in your sweet arms dear and can go to the show together and really enjoy it. I sure do remember our seats dear and Honey we are sure going to go there when I get home to. Won’t it be heavenly to be able to go everyplace together dear and not have to leave each other when we come home like we used to.

Honey you said in your latest letter that your work was awful heavy. Gosh Honey I sure hope it has slacked up by now. I sure hope you don’t have to work no overtime now dear cause it is just to darn hard on you. Please take it easy now darling and take wonderful care of my sweet little wife.

You had never heard any more about your check in this last letter dear but like you said Honey you will probably get both of them in one now. You should be getting them tomorrow or next day now. I am sure anxious to see if you get them all right now dearest.

Honey you are so darn sweet and I love you so darn much and you know I always will dolly. Gee darling we are so happily married and love each other more every day. Honey dear isn’t it wonderful that we had our chance to become man and wife. It has made all this so much easier dear. Now darling we can have our meeting like we want it and do whatever we want to and never have to leave each other for a minute dear. Honey dear you are so awful perfect and so darn precious and all my very own. Honey dear I am still going to tickle those sweet little feet when I get you in my arms to, yes I am now dearest. Honey dear I know God hears our prayers and will keep us safe and bring us together as soon as possible now. Please take wonderful care of my precious parts dearest, gee but they are wonderful and I love them so darn much. Yours are fine dolly miss you so darn much. Honey dear you are the sweetest and most adorable little wife in this world and I love you so darn much and you know I always will now dear.

Well sug I guess I had better close for this time and I’ll write you as soon as possible now dearest. I’ll be looking for your precious letters now dolly. Please be awful, awful careful now dear and take wonderful care of my sweet little wife. Remember now dear chin up and always happy. Tell all hello dear.
