My Dearest Darling Wife,

Hello sweet little angel, how is my darling little wife. Awful, awful sweet I know and fine I hope. You had better be dearest. Gee darling I received the sweetest letter today and I was so darn thrilled to get it dearest. It was so awful sweet and precious dear, just like all your wonderful letters are. I also received one from the folks dear. They were both the eighteenth so that is pretty good time. Gee darling your precious letters mean the world and all to me and they are so darn sweet. They make me so awful, awful happy dear and make me feel so wonderful all over. Honey dear I sure hope you are getting my mail all right now. Won’t it be wonderful when we are back in each others arms dear and won’t have to write letters any more. You are so darn sweet dearest and I love you so awful darn much.

I am feeling fine now dearest and getting along all right in every way now. I have plenty of everything now darling. Well Honey it has been a pretty nice day here but plenty hot. Sure hope you are having some nice weather now dearest. I expect it is getting pretty cool by now though but maybe not yet. I’ll bet by this time next month it will be plenty cool though. Gee darling won’t it be wonderful when we can crawl under those blankets together and help keep each other warm and be so awful, awful close together all night. Maybe before the winter is over that we can be in each others arms like that dearest.

Well Honey still the same on the move, some time after the first from all we can find out. I guess no one knows exactly when it will be. I sure hope it doesn’t take us to long to get loaded up and make the trip. It sure ought to be our last trip before the one home. Gosh Honey it still doesn’t seem like the war is over. The only difference we can notice is that censoring is off and that things aren’t set up for war like they used to be. I don’t think we will ever fully notice it until we are back in each others arms dear and know that we will be there for good and won’t have to leave each other.

Honey dear you asked me about applying for a furlough. Well dear it is just like you said, or rather it is impossible now. The only kind they are giving now is emergency furloughs and they are darn hard to get. It surely won’t be to awful long before I am back dear and can get out of this thing and be in your precious arms for good. Gosh Honey we will be so darn happy and everything will be so wonderful.

Darling you said you thought it was a swell idea for us to get our apartment before we leave and then we would have something to come right back to. And like you said dear we could spend a night or two there before we go on our honeymoon if we wanted to. We will figure it all out while you and I are alone in our room dearest. I’ll say we will have our apartment fixed up cute dear and just for two honey, gee so comfy and cozy.

[edited for content]. Gosh Honey won’t it be wonderful to have them together after all this time and be able to do whatever we want to and whenever we want to. I’ll bet we find new ways the first twenty four hours we are together darling. Gosh honey remember in Texas. That was the first time we was really free to do what we wanted to and then we just had a few hours at a time to be together. We are sure going to celebrate in every way when we do get back together darling and what I mean celebrate to. Yes Honey we used to have trouble with them panties but I’ll bet we don’t now dear cause there just won’t be any when we are around home or to ourselves dear, just when we are going out someplace or something like that, right darling. Gee darling it just gives me the most wonderful feeling all over, just thinking about it all, how about it dearest. Honey dear we will be so awful, awful happy and everything will be so awful darn wonderful.

Sure hope this finds you feeling swell and everything going along all right in every way now dearest. Gosh Honey I sure hope your work has slacked off some now. You said in your latest letter dear that you had added on much on your machine that day that the skin was all pulled away from the nail on your first finger. Please take good care of my little Honey dear and I sure hope you had the nurse fix that finger up dear. Please take it easy now darling and don’t work to hard now.

Honey dear you are so darn sweet and I love you so awful, awful darn much and you know I always will dolly. Gee darling isn’t it wonderful to be married and really own each other. It is so wonderful that we had our chance and took it dear. Gee darling it was three years ago today that you and I parted and what an awful long time that has been dearest. It has been so awful hard on us to be away from each other dear but darling we have been so happy, just knowing we really belonged to each other dearest. Three years ago this time the war was just getting a good start dear and now darling it is all over and we will be back in each others arms before very long dear. Honey dear when I get you in my arms I am going to hold you so awful, awful tight and kiss you so often, I am sure going to tickle those sweet little feet to darling, yes I am now dear. Honey dear I know God hears our prayers and will keep us safe and bring us together as soon as possible now. Please take wonderful care of my precious parts dearest, gee but they are heavenly and I love them so much dear. Yours are fine honey, miss you so awful darn much. Honey you are the sweetest and most adorable little wife in the world and I love you so darn much and you know I always will dolly.

Well sug I guess I had better close for this time and I’ll write you as soon as possible now dear. I’ll be looking for your precious letters now dolly. Please be awful, awful careful now dear and take wonderful care of my sweet little wife. Remember now dolly, chin up and always happy. Tell all hello dear.
