My Dear Sweetheart,
It’s
quite late and we just returned from San Francisco, having had the nicest time.
We went to the Cocktail Room of Mark Hopkins Hotel, “Top of the Mark,” where we
could see out over the city. As soon as you return, we must go there, so you
can see S.F. from above. Boy, we’ve surely been getting around. We think Ann
might come out around Christmas time. Uncle Clifford said Dad wanted to come
awfully bad, and I’ll bet he did.
Almost
forgot to tell you that we ate dinner at Cathay House, in Chinatown. You and I
were never there. Yes, darling, I wish you would hurry home. There are so many
times that I have such realistic dreams of you kissing me. After your return, I
shall never permit you to even go to work, I don’t think! At least you can’t
work for 6 months afterwards.
Well,
I’m just about at my end, so bye bye and never forget
how very much I love you.
Yours,
Berna
Lou
