Dearest Darling,
Slept in until ten, got on my two feet and got breakfast-waffles and coffee. Uncle Clifford and I just mess around and do nothing. We talk about everything, and everybody; mostly about you, because you’re the most wonderful person in all the world. Now, don’t argue with me, either!
During vacation I reread all your love letters and, now, believe this or not, but with every new reading, those letters mean so much more to me; precious, they are all I have left of you, and they are each and every one sacred to me as remembrance of [our] so perfect married life, that was so awfully short before it was interrupted.
Read something you might enjoy, A Sgt. overseas was writing love to his sweetheart; he decided that he shall introduce the censor, so he said “Darling-, this is the censor, Mr. - ; Mr. - this is my sweet heart, X - then he wrote- it’s a little crowded in here, don’t you think, dear?
As ever,
Berna Lou
