Tuesday Night
My Dearest Sweetheart;
Today
has been so warm and sunny, and a holiday, too. Did you celebrate today
yesterday?? Dorris took Amelia and I
apartment hunting in Oakland, but we were unsuccessful.
We’d like to have a place with a
bathroom, especially; then, if possible, a kitchen sink!
I really doubt if we’ll find anything so I haven’t mentioned this to Mildred.
I’d sure like to have larger quarters before Mother and Dad come out here.
Mildred has offered me the use of the
study but I hate to inconvenience her that way.
As
yet I haven’t heard the report from Econ. 106 but I’m still convinced that I
made a Z. I wish we’d find out. That will mean that I must do well on the final
and I plan to study like a beaver, too! There are only two more weeks until
finals.
Amelia
brought a chicken from home and we had stewed chicken for dinner with dumplings
and were they good. Tomorrow we shall have chicken pie, chicken and noodles,
etc.
Well,
there isn’t much to write about today. Hope to receive some letters from you
soon telling me whether or not you’re a little happier than you were before.
Please try to be! Remember how much I love you and am waiting for you to come
back to me.
Love,
Berna Lou
