Tuesday
Afternoon
My Dear Sweetheart;
Didn’t
have to go to work today, fortunately, so Mother and Daddy and I have just
messed around. We haven’t got over our trip to LA yet. We have had too much
riding and too little sleep!
Mother
has been awfully tired and that sort of worries me. She has been pretty worried
over Dave and how he is since he hasn’t written much; he never wrote to anyone
hardly so he will have to start to get into practice. The letter he wrote to me
was a wonderful start; he described everything in detail—at Camp Wolters, Texas. It’s his first time away from home and he
says he’s terribly homesick for the folks.
Time
has been going so fast here the past few days that our brief visit together
will soon be over. I have the feeling that Dad will try to persuade me to come
back to Anderson, but you won’t have to fear that I shall stay if I go. Now
that I have made the break, I prefer living out here to any place I’ve ever
been. Knowing that you will return one of these days and be with me again keeps
me going and happy.
Lots of love and a kiss,
Berna Lou
