Wednesday night.
Dear Sweetheart,
Finally
found a place to live in San Francisco- 1957-10th avenue.
Don’t know the postal zone no. yet. To get there, one catches the no. #6 street car on Market and rides to the very end of the line; way apast U. C. Hospitals. After getting off, go right
up the hill, to 10th- (car ends on 9th ave., walk n. about 20 ft., cross to w. side of street +
there it is. From the street, you’d never realize this little place existed,
because it is way off the street. The apt is in the lower floor of a teeny
cottage. Above an old lady, 75, holds forth.
Once
inside the little place, one is intrigued with all the doors! At least I
have (1) sink (2) complete private bath (3) A good oven, (4) My own meter for
P.G.E .The apt. consists of bedroom, lg kitchen +
bath. From the yard, I can see g.g.
Bridge; am on a little hill! And Honey, it’s large enough for two, so hurry
home. Oh yes, rent is $25 mo. + utilities, which won’t be over $30.
Move this weekend.
Love,
Burna Lou
