Dear Mom;
I guess
this won’t be like those nice long letters I used to send but it will at least
be that letter you were waiting for so long. I can at least tell you that I’m
in India
someplace. Most of our mail is finally catching up to us and it certainly is
good to be able to read about events back home. I don’t know whether the Woonsocket call will ever
catch up with me or not. If you can I would like you to cut the picture out of
it + send it in a letter. Did Mrs. Manning call up to say she had seen the
article + picture. What did the article about Meredith say. I don’t hold any
hard feelings about your opinion of Muriel. However I feel everything will turn
out for the best as it always has. When you write in the future try + use V
mail as it is faster. If possible get me several packages of it to send it as
the paper over here is of cheap quality. Please write as often + the same as
before but don’t try to find where I’m located.
Lovingly.
Your son
