My dear Fran: -
Received your letter of yesterday with the $3.00 also your letter of today. I already got an answer from home and they didn't seem too mad. I went to a movie on the post last night and seen Gary Cooper in the "Cowboy and the Lady", its an old picture but it was good. Previous to going to the movies I had my hair cut and had a couple of beers at the P.X. After I came back from the movies I read all the "Records" that were forwarded me from Camp Wheeler so ‘till I finished those it was time to turn in. I guess luck isn't with me this week because today we had two hours of atheletics and I had .75¢ in change in my pocket which I lost playing football but I still have a dollar left and I bought cigarettes with the other dollar. The other two hours this morning we had familarization of the M2 30 cal. carbine and the M3 sub machine gun. We spend one day probably next week at Fort Meade firing these two weapons. This afternoon was taken up with training films and classes. I got my laundry back today and I'm missing one O.D. shirt so I hope I get it back as I need it. Honey you said I should stay at your house when I come home, well thats O.K. if you're positive its alright with your folks. Don't be surprised if I call you or even walk in on you over the week end because it gets awful lonesome down here especially over the week end. I told Frank we enjoyed ourselves very much and he said they did also, so when you come back with me we will go out with them more often. I'm glad my bunk mate has a radio or I'd surely go crazy with nothing to do but as you probably know a radio is a lot of company. Well honey I seem to be running out of news so I'd better start to end this letter but before I bring it to a complete finish I mustn't forget to remind my honey I'm still in love with her and always will be so be good until I can get up to see you. About going up to see Mac, its fine with me but I must spend some time with my folks so we will see how it works out when I get there. We can spend Sat. afternoon with Jane and Lloyd. I LOVE YOU HONEY.
With all my love,
Your honey.
