My dear Fran: -
Received your letter yesterday and you claim you haven't received any of my letters. I've been writing every day with the exception of yesterday. I wasn't that I didn't have time because we certainly have lots of that but it was because I didn't have any thing to write about. Didn't do any thing all day yesterday but lay in the sack and play some cards. Last night Stan, Bob, & myself went in to Marina drank a few bottles of beer and returned home again. Cookie didn't go along as his wife left Los Angeles at noon yesterday and expected to arrive around midnight, lucky fellow. Boy you don't know how much I wish you were with me. Honey I really miss you more than any thing in the world but I guess talking about it won't help so you be a good girl and maybe it won't be too long before we can be back together for keeps. Haven't heard when we are taking off as yet but I don’t imagine it will be too long as they took five of our officers last night so they will keep coming down the line. I wish they'd send us soon so I could get back that much quicker. Honey I'm sorry I can’t make my letters a little more interesting but there isn't a [edited for content] thing to write about. I got a letter from mother yesterday, she gave me about the same news you have given me. Well dear I think I'll cut this short and answer her letter. Don't forget I love you always, more than any thing in the world so be good for me and I'll be good for you. Give my best regards to your folks and our friends.
With all my love,
Your honey.
