My darling wife:
Don’t scold me too much but dear I didn’t write yesterday. I did receive two letters from you and one from mother. She told me I should write more often. I do manage to write about one letter per week but I’ll try and do better. She said you were good about calling and relaying my letters but she’d much rather hear from me personally. She also said you kept yourself quite busy at Mackeys. She understands that you have become quite lonesome and must get out and around but I guess she’s under the impression that you could find better company. Well dear you know how I feel about Geo. & Blanch. As far as Geo goes he’s one of my best friends and as far as Blanch goes she’s alright but at times you can’t believe her and she’s also two faced so you can take it for what its worth. Naturally I wouldn’t expect you to tell them you can’t come up anymore as I won’t allow it, that’s out of the question. As I asked before, what you I won’t object just so long as you act like the lady that you are and stay true. I love you and I want only you so please be good and keep yourself for Eddie. So much for that. I’ve been going to school every day. Yesterday we got our exam papers back; I made 85 which in my estimation is good. The class average was 86 so I didn’t go far below that did I? Some of the subjects we must learn ar really dandies such as. Japanese gov’t., Japanese press, Japanese law and order, War crimes, etc. Every Saturday morning we are confronted with exams so Friday nights usually takes up most our time studying. They have in the motor pool a weapons carrier for recreational purposes so yesterday I was able to get it so after school the gang went to the P.X. bought up our supply then rode around until supper time. After supper Stan, Morlini, Sankey, Struve, and myself rode around some more. We didn’t go any where’s in particular just burned up a lot of gas. We are going to try and get it for Sunday then go visit Cook and Bohan. Tonight I’m charge of quarters so if I can think of enough to say I’ll write again tonight. Today is laundry so I must get it ready. Still haven’t received any pay so if you’re looking for that money I’m sending home you will know why. As yet I haven’t received any of your packages so if they wait much longer I’ll use it for a Christmas gift. Well dear its time to eat chow so I’ll bring this to a close and write again tomorrow. Remember dear I love you more than anything in the world and always will. Give my regards to your mother and dad, Geo. & Blanch, and all our friends. Be good and write everyday.
With all my love,
Your honey.
