My darling Fran:-
It seems as though I just wrote you a few hours ago so darling don’t be mad because this letter may be very short. I just gave your picture I have before me a big kiss honey. Mike is sitting here and he wishes I might do it for real soon and honey you don’t know how much I really hope so myself. Darling I honestly believe this will be a bigger time than our honeymoon was. Honey do you realize since I first started going with you I wasn’t out of your sight more than a day or two excepting once for a couple of months and that was all a big mistake. Since that incident darling I’ve learned plenty and don’t think for one minute that I don’t appreciate your love because I do and when I get back home I’ll prove it to you. I’ve been telling you and I’m going to keep telling you I love you and only you, I want only you. Darling I told you I had some souvenirs for you and I hope to get more but I don’t think I’ll mail them to you because if they aren’t registered they sure as [edited for content] will never get there. I’d also like to send some of those clothes home that I bought in Yokohama but they also wouldn’t ever reach home. This morning after I wrote you I passed the balance of the morning reading the Jap newspaper. This afternoon Tanaka and I called on a couple of people then visited one of the Japanese shrines situated almost atop the mountain here in Tokushima. Boy what a beautiful view from the top of that mountain, and no camera. By the way speaking of picture I’ll have 12 for you Thursday if they turn out O.K. so you can finally be on the lookout for some pictures. I’m still looking for mail and I’m still looking for April’s pay check. Well darling this letter was longer than I anticipated so there’s no need to be cross. Give my regards to your mother and dad, Geo. and Blanch, and all our friends. Keep writing darling and be sure to save ALL that lovin’, kissin’, & P— for your Eddie.
With all my love,
Your honey forever.
