My darling Fran:

I had told you in one of my other letters I’d send you a money order so enclosed you’ll find two for $100. each. I’d like very much for you to get yourself something nice, preferrably a fur coat but I’ll let that to your own judgment honey. I don’t care what you decide about Christmas presents other than I wish you’d see that Judy, Richard, and Milt get something from us. Last night John, Dye, Vin and myself went to the movies, saw “Keys To The Kingdom” a very good picture although it is rather old. Its an American film staring Gregory Pick. After the movie we came back to the house and enjoyed the warmth of our fireplace as it was quite chilly. Of course we had the usual number of brandy and cake but a very quite evening. Vinnie is still counting the days, claims he only has about ten more days before he leaves. Bay how I wish it were me. Honey it won’t be very long anymore because this mouth is half gone and the first of Dec. will darn soon be here then your honey will start to count the days. Honey the way the mail goes out of here I can understand why you sometimes go quite long without mail. The only time our mail leaves here is when someone goes to Takamtsu so if no one goes up for a week that means all our letters lay around the house here for a week. I always manage to miss a day or two writing but I must average five letters a week and that’s not too bad for me considering I don’t like to write. Today we officially went into our O.D.’s so I’ve taken off my sun tans never to wear again (I hope) as a member of Uncle Sam’s Army. Well darling I realize this letter is very short but the one I wrote yesterday was longer than usual. I think I’ve told you before but another few thousand times won’t hurt, I love you dear more than anything in the world and as far as I’m concerned it will always be that way. I don’t want anyone else but Fran and I hope Fran never wants anyone but Eddie. It will sure be lots of fun going house keeping again as we do have many things we don’t realize. Well dear be a good girl and keep writing. God bless you and protect you for me. Give my regards to you mother + dad, Geo. + Blanch, and all our friends.
