Sat.
My Darling Tom,
Well I see by the letter I received today that you are still at the same place. It was written on the 14th of July. I am glad of that and I sure hope you don’t get moved. Take good care of yourself and I really do miss you and I sure wish that I could see you.
I wrote a letter to Mrs. Reasoner yesterday and mailed it last night when I mailed yours.
We didn’t have much to do last night so I almost fell asleep but I finally pulled thru. I like the 11 to 7 shift though. We now go on the 7 to 3 shift next week. Pauline and Arlene are also working it. I have to still go out tonight because we couldn’t go out Sun. night and then work on Mon. the 7 to 3.
When I came home from work this morning I cleaned up the kitchen floor and also the bathroom. By that time Pauline started to sweep the floors. I then cleaned out the ice-box and took my bath. I intend to go to bed just as soon as Pauline finishes sweeping but I couldn’t as long as she is doing it.
Sweetheart, I Love You with all my heart.
I went to
bed finally at 10:30 and I got up at 5:15.
I got ready and went down-town to get a few things. Here while I was down there I saw Grandma in
at one of the 5 and 10 cent store and she wanted me to come down along with
them. So I decided to come down with
them. We didn’t have much work last
night again so I decided not to go to work.
The other girls were working till eleven and were looking for someone up
but they weren’t sure. Grandma is having
company tomorrow for dinner. The Brown’s
from New Bethlehem were coming and so I came down with them. We went on over to
We have been eating even since we got here and now it is time to go to bed.
Grandma says she is going to write you but just hasn’t. She is going to real soon.
The last time I was here she had some material here and she decided to make me a dress. She had it all fastened together so I tried it on. It fits real good so she is sewing it together now.
I hope that everything is going good with you.
I am feeling just fine and I hope that you are the same.
Jess has been doing some sleeping since we got home. But has really decided to go to bed now so I am going to go.
So until tomorrow “Goodnight and sweet dreams”
Your Wife,
“Ruth Alice”
