Dear Ruth.
Received you letter today and one the other day, and I will keep my fingers crossed and hope to see you soon.
Yes I had a nice job and I liked it a lot, but we had a very bad first this morning, there was an explosion and the old man that helps me was burnt on his hand and face ( I hope you can read this as it is hard to write with my burnt hand, it is all swelled up). The whole place went up in no time fast.
I got blown into the old man and a work bench, and my throat and lungs are full of smoke and sulfur fumes, but I’ll be OK in a day or so, I hope.
I’m going up tomorrow and help clean up the mess, and what a mess.
Will close now hoping to see you soon and I mean it, and am I glad to hear you feel the same about me, as my feeling toward you have not changed a bit.
Yours
Scottie
