Well just one test yet on combative wrestling. I surely don’t like to admit but I am tired and worn out. This week kind of climaxes the affairs and I am glad. The work is swell and I learned plenty—but how much better I would have been if I could have had time to master that B.J.M. perfectly. You don’t study that book to pass—you study it because it is your life—so—I wanted to know it all and it is a physical impossibility to do that with so short a time and second the real practical work is much better than theory and you know what you are talking about. I am about 1/3 knowing that book. My test was tough—I have-not done anything outstanding in the B.J.M. It just is a life different and I know nothing of sea life—so my competition in this field is weak. I hate to admit it—I hate to not be up to snuff and know the material. I wanted to make a 3.5 and I am sure I never did that. I mean it too. When I know it—I know it—but damn it—when I don’t, I don’t. So—that’s that.
We have another B.J.M. the 6^th weak. I hope I have improved. We are going to get 4 weeks of practical experience printing boots.
There is no news on liberty. We have been refused visitors. We get 8 weeks instead of 6 weeks. I will call you as soon as I know.
The Navy can do anything they want to, you have no alternative—straight ahead. So if they say Christmas liberty—that’s it—if not—then no.
Sorry to hear about Miss Moyer’s death. Well—I must relax and get ready to work 3 hours—wrestle 1 hour—then eat then 7-8 P.M. go take the wrestling exam.
I got 1 tube of shaving cream and 1 tube of toothpaste from 1^st M. Huntington. Wasn’t that nice. I am glad you got the money. Use it as you are led. 15 days till Christmas. Gee—honey—you saw the same moon I did that A.M. Yes—I said a prayer for you too.
You sure are busy and I hope you don’t get too busy. Boy—that action was fast. Maybe the job is pretty jumpy in spots. Well dear—I must close—it is 12:30. I must read the paper—
