Hi Pal:
I know
darn well you think we have forgotten you this time, but honestly we haven’t. I
really am sorry that I have taken so long to write you, but it had been one
thing after another to keep me from writing. At the time you last wrote, Jean
was working in Newport News for a week and I was doing my best to write her.
Then for another week I just couldn’t find time. I was pretty busy with Jean
back. I was planning to write you last Sunday, but I took the pictures you see
enclosed and I wanted to have them developed I before I wrote to you.
Jean and I were showing a friend that I met around the University and we
stopped in to see Latimer and you see what happened. She’s a killer isn’t she?
The only picture taken of me was too blurred to see. You can probably see that
the pictures were taken in the amphitheater. It was the first time I’ve seen
Ruth since you were last here.
By the way, when is your O.C.S. over. I am just wondering when you will be home again. Boy you should really look slick with a gold bar on each shoulder. Johnny, we are really pulling for you and I know Ruth is too.
You haven’t said much about the women in that part of the country. How are they there?
I just
looked at your last letter which ways written on
of Feb 16 and you said you had four more weeks. Well by that you should
be through already. I’m waiting to hear from you.
Well,
old top, even as long as it has been since I wrote you, I haven’t anything else
to say, so I’ll sign off. Please let us know when you’re coming. I hope the
class of the letter will make up for the long time, no no write. So
long,
Ed.
