Darling Mine,
Your Sunday’s letter just came in and you know how glad I was to get it.
All your interesting information was welcome but as you know it left me with a
lot of questions about things but then I guess that it always does for a letter
is so inadequate and they take so long to get back and forth. Your letter came
direct and was not interfered with by the hurricane or other elements. I thought
the darn mail would be held up but evidently the storm did not delay things this
time as the planes seem to be running regularly.
I was indeed sick about the info you gave me in reference to our good
friend. I suppose that he is in
I also read with great appreciation your beautiful words about us darling and those same thoughts are returned many many times. The time will come when this war will be over and things will be normal once more and we Americans can be allowed to live as we are used to once again. There is a lot of hard going to be undertaken as yet but the end is in site I believe.
My cold continues to hang on and foolish me continues to stay up in spite of it. I would be much better off to take a day or two and got over it but being new on this job I do not like to take off immediately after reporting for the way it might look. Rest is the real way to get over a cold and its duration is much shorter if one does but it will run its course I suppose in spite of whatever one does.
Darling I send you all my love and devotion and I long to be with you. Adios for the time being.
Edwin
P.S. You can use the above address as it may get my mail to me a day early.
