Dear Nick,
Received
your welcomed letter and was very happy to hear from you. I got a letter from Donie and everything is fine. Mom and Pop want me to come
home to take it easy instead of working myself to death. Knowing that you like
the place makes me very happy. Lee and I don’t see each other anymore. Anna P.
is getting married to John Drabish. I’m surprised
because she used to be so particular about men, anyway I wish her luck. By the
way Tillie sends her regards to you. She was home for three months but came
back about two weeks ago. I’m going to New Jersey with her Thursday to see some
of her relations. I seen Eddie the other day and he
asked about you. I’m sitting here very tired. I just got through putting the
kids to sleep. Their mother went away about 3 o’clock and wouldn’t be back
before God knows when and now it’s 10 o’clock at night. The poor dear she has
such a tough life running around to nice places. She should only bust. Anyway
how is the weather back there? When you write to Stella send her my regards and
tell her to write to me because I’ll have to take time to answer her letter
then. Elsie T. is back in New York but Anna P. is staying back home I think
from what I hear. I just got a new winter coat today paying only $16.00 for it
because I couldn’t afford to buy a better one. I was never so home sick as I
have been now for the past few weeks I don’t know what’s gotten into me. Maybe
because I’m so knocked out and tired. I certainly wish I was home or somewhere
away from New York and these Jews that get into a person’s hair for no good
reason at all. I’m listening to a symphony orchestra now. It’s quite boring but
very good for the nerves. I wrote to Anna P. but she didn’t answer me as yet.
Boy by now you are very much fed up with this letter so I’ll have to close
before you tear it up with madness. Write as soon as possible and write a lot.
Sending
loads of love.
Regards,
Sis
