Dear Nick,
Received
your letter and was glad to hear from you and also that everything is fine. I
got a letter from home and they told me that Pee Wee is working somewhere on a
highway. We have terrible weather here today, it’s raining and it’s my day off.
Bill and I are still making plans but I guess we’ll have to forget about them
for a while because he just quit his job on account of long hours, so he’s
looking for work now. I’m just wondering whether I’ll see him today. Elsie
Turke called me during the week and you could just imagine how she can talk,
she’s got one of the biggest mouth pieces. That’s why none of the girls go out
with her. There isn’t much more me for me to write. Closing
with kindest regards [and] loads of love.
