Hello Claude
I’m sorry I didn’t write sooner. I
was busy the last week. I guess you are busy too. Well, how do you like the
work and the place? Pea Wee was home over the weekend. He went back Sun. night.
Dick & I took him to Somerset, from there he went down with his friends
from Somerset. He then went to the midnight show with Martha & Fritz. Boy,
that Dick sure has luck. He won the $100 again at the theater. Wednesday
evening after Dick got the check; we went out and got drunk. I wish you would
have been along because there were three girls with us. I was with Betty Hay
and Dick with Fritz so Martha didn’t have a boyfriend. Boy, Martha and Fritz
were drunk. Boy, what talk they put themselves through. I danced a little, too.
Dick & I didn’t get home till 4 o’clock the next morning because after we
took the girls home we had to take Nick D. to Meyersdale Pa. He was going to
Pittsburg, because he is in the marines now. I guess he will be stationed in
South Carolina for a while. By the way, Shorty brought Nora home last Saturday
night. You got out of this burg just in time because boy did we have three days
of real winter-it sure was cold & snowy. Gee, we miss your face at Brants. Do
you remember the night Ray caught you getting the fish out of the cupboard, ha-ha. I guess the news is all but there will be more the next
time.
So Long I adieu,
Wish you the
best of luck,
Johnny
