My dearest love:
Before
I start, dear, there is something that I must tell you. Eversince I met
you, dear, there was something that has drawn me to you, a something that has
turned into something called love. A
love, my darling, that is so true and it is my love to you. I love you, sweetheart, with all my
heart. I’m sitting up in bed, dear, and
writing to you. Honey, I mailed your
letter today, dear, and everyone I mailed to, I said “goodbye my dear letter
and hurry to get to quick.” Honey, I am well
and happy. I read a story, dear, called
“Haunted Sody, Very haunted, dear. It will send
chills up your spine, and make your blood chill. I’m getting so, dear, that I like to read
haunted stories.
Honey,
what all did you do today? How are you, dear?
It
would be lovely if you were here sitting on my bed. I love you, dear, very, very much. Regina and
I weren’t out to dinner and we had a grand time eating. Four of us girls went riding today. We all had a grand time. All the time, dear, I thought of you and you
only, my thought went back to the past when we rode around. Remember the past, dear? We were so happy, dear,
remember how we cuddled down in the seat and a truck passed us. I love you, my darling, I love you, if you
were here, dear, I’d sit up close to you, so close, dear. Honey, I slept well last night, did you? I’m
sure, dear, that you did. Honey, I had
the locket on today. I take very good
care, dear.
Honey,
I saw George today, I think that he came to see Anne, for he was sitting in the
lobby here. We said hello to each other.
Honey,
when do you think your furlough will be granted? I’m a girl, dear, I like a
girl, dear, the trees are turning green, the lilies are in bloom and the
weather is warmer. A month
for us, my darling, when everything is lovely. We ought to see the Cherry Blossoms,
dear. Honey, I won’t go home if you come
around Easter. Hour can I, dear? It’s
you I’m waiting for darling, waiting for the feeling to each other. I look forward to your coming, dear, as though
you were my husband, we belong to each other, dear, for we love and love each
other dearly, I want to be loved by you, dear, so much, how I yearn for you,
dear, only God knows. Someday, dear,
when we’re together, things will be a dream.
Something to talk about.
Honey,
I had two letters yesterday and before I retire I’m going to read and reread,
and pre-tend that your mean to me. Oh, darling, I love you with are all my
heart. If you were only here, I know
where I would be, in your arms, dear, held close to you with your lips against
mine. How heavenly everything would
be! Just us two, dear, alone in a world
of our own!
Honey,
forgive the now, for I’m going to close. I’m sending you, dear, all my love and
kisses to you and your only, May God Bless you, sweetheart, and take care of
you, for I love you. Goodnight, dear.
Sincerely
your,
Rose
