Darling:
This week is going by so, so fast
for me and I am just too happy. Darling, the letter I [was] supposed to get
today is still at the P.O. Esta didn’t have time to go this evening, Honey, I
know you love me, dear, and I love you. I redecorated, dear, and our side looks
nice!
Darling, how are you? I am fine and
very happy, but very tired tonight. Honey, I saw Lou this morning, while I was
waiting for the station wagon. Honey, we have a station wagon now, that takes
us to work.
Honey, I am very lonesome this
evening for no letter, but I’ll read yesterdays’ as I did this morning. Honey,
did you get two small packages? Oh, honey, my thoughts are always of you. What
all did you do today, honey?
Honey, that
furlough [but come, for that all?] I think of. Also, you might get transferred
closer to me, that would be so good- if only it would come true.
In yesterday’s letter you said that
we are in love for sure. We are, dear, for all the time. I can’t hardly wait
until we are together, alone somewhere where no one will bother us. Booth’s
place is our ideal spot. Next Wednesday on the (25th) it will be two
months since we saw each other, Darling, you remember dates so well. I can
remember dates too, but you have me beat. Honey, when did we have our first
date?
I love you, dear, very much. We will
have a lot to say to each other. We don’t have to make plans, dear, for they
just come. To have your arms around me during the day and night, too will be
heavenly, Honey, we won’t ask for anything else just to be together.
I remember how you were waiting at Richmond,
dear, and I slipped up on you. We were happy, but tired when we were looking
for a hotel. We found one, darling, and we were happy to be alone. We, both, couldn’t hardly wait to be in each other’s arms, oh, honey,
our love to each other is wonderful and perfect. I yearn for you to be here
with me where I can touch you and know you are here. It has to come true.
Honey, I’m going to see you tomorrow.
Darling, ever since you have been in the Army I have written each night, but
one Saturday, and I was too tired. Sending all my love and kisses to you and
only you. May God bless you, dear. Good night, honey.
Lovingly
yours,
Rose
