Saturday Noon
Darling:
Home
at last! I traveled since seven o’clock last night and I was all in. My brother
and I are home, honey. Darling, I have a very peaceful feeling being at home.
The town is the same. I fell asleep and got up at twelve-thirty. Oh, honey, a
letter came this morning and I read and read your letter over and over. I fell
asleep with your letter, my darling. Melt to my heart. Honey, I love you. I’m
so happy to be in love with you and because I am, darling, I’m sitting upstairs
and writing at my end table. Honey, how are you? I’m fine, but still tired.
Darling, I slept all the way on the bed. The letter I wrote yesterday afternoon
was mailed by my little nephew. He’s grown now, honey, and he has the nicest
voice.
Darling,
I miss you so so much. Honey, you must and must have
your furlough. I sure will be there waiting, dear, for you.
Honey,
did you get my telegram? Your card was very secret, honey.
Honey,
I’m at home, but still I’m very lonesome. It’s you, my dear,
that I long for.
Honey,
I brought my films but forgot the camera. I was very excited yesterday about
leaving and forgot it. Honey, I love you. We have a date tonight and we will
find our spot together and be happy.
Honey,
I[‘m] back to my old style in writing. Lying flat on my stomach with a Life Magazine for a pad.
Gosh,
my darling, I’m so so happy and I feel so good to be
at home. Honey, call me at my home 2031 at Rinesville
and ask for me. We have a phone, darling, and I want you to call me. I love
you, dear, with all my heart. It’s so, so much. If you were here, dear, I’d let
you collect all the kisses I’ve saved for you. Oh, honey, if they could only be
real now. So sweet, dear. I just love you with all my
heart and want to be with you.
Honey,
I’m closing and will write again tonight. May God bless you, dear, and take
care of you. My love and kisses I send to you and you only.
Lovingly Yours,
Rose
P.S. I’m waiting for the call.
P.S.- Another one- I love
you so much.
