Tuesday Evening
Darling:
In
a few minutes, honey, it will be nine o’clock. Darling, I had two letters today
and one today and, honey, I’m very happy. It was written Sunday evening,
darling, it seems that we write around the same times together. It’s marvelous,
dear, about us. Honey, how are you? I am fine and very happy, sweetheart. I
know I am lonesome without you, dear, but I love your letters, dear, and they
are you. I was busy today, honey, but no matter how,
you are with me day and night. Yes, I love you with all my heart. Oh, to be
held close now I love to use my imagination. Darling, I even surprised myself
Thursday night when I walked home. Darling, my shoes don’t hurt me. They are a
good fit. You see, honey, I always get a half size larger. Honey, I could go
walking with them if you were here.
Honey,
Ann was here about fifteen minutes ago. Her address is 1 Rigdon
Street 0/0 Mrs. Herbert White, Aberdeen, Maryland.
Honey,
it was the mail service that holds up our letters. Yesterday, dear, it was an
anniversary for us. It’s lovely here, dear, but we could only write about the
evening, darling, I’m letting you that being together and then separated is
terrible. Oh, honey, I love you so, so much.
Honey,
did you ride the jeep today? I’ve had my bath darling, and washed my sister’s
clothes, pressed and now, dear, I’m sitting on my bed and writing to my honey.
It’s you, sweetheart, that I’m writing to and oh, how I would like for you to
be here with me. Honey, what are you doing now? Are you writing now,
sweetheart? Honey, when we see each other again we will have so many kisses
saved up. How lonely they are, honey, to be held close and to be kissed over
and over again.
Esta went to the dentist this evening. She called one up,
honey, and oh, darling, I thought it was you. Honey, I got up early and went to
the post office to mail your letter. I bought a book of stamps this morning,
dear, and they are practically gone for I write home and to my brothers.
Darling,
it’s so nice to feel that we will see each other again soon. Honey, I, too,
promised to write each evening to you to let you know that I love you with all
my heart and it is so so much. I don’t do much during
the day as they roll by, but I want to tell you everything, honey, and I’ll
always want to be that way to you. Honey, I miss you and will write we are
together again in each other’s arms.
Honey,
I’m saying good night to you now. Tomorrow, dear, I’ll see you again. Take care
of yourself, honey, very good care, dear, for I love you with all my heart. May
God bless you, sweetheart, and keep you. My love and kisses go to you each time
you get my letters. Sweet dreams, sweetheart, of us.
Good
night, sweetheart,
Lovingly
yours,
Rosemarie
PS Sweetheart, I love you, dearly. Gosh, I wish we
were together, darling furloughs ought to be given each month.
Love
Rosemarie
