Wednesday Evening
Hello,
honey:
How are you this evening? Did you go
to the movies this evening? I just came in about [a] half hour ago. The picture
was “Pittsburgh”, honey, and it was good. It was about the coal fields and oh,
yes, Superman played too.
Did you work hard today, honey? Yes,
I did, but I’m not tired, dear. Honey, guess what? My desk was moved around
again so that I wouldn’t get the glare. It bothered my eyes.
My! Oh, my! The weather is grand
here. Sunshine everyday.
Honey, it is very warm here. The evening is lovely to go walking.
Honey, you know something? I love you
and love you, it so very, very much, honey, and all for you. Gosh, honey, wish
I was walking with you somewhere, even Aberdeen would be nice now. I miss my
husband very much.
No, honey, Steve did not show up.
Your parents will really be alone now, honey.
Now I’m glad that I’m not a Waac, honey. I only want to be
your wife now and for always.
Honey, I had a letter from you
today, it [is] here on my bed, dear, and I dream every time I look at your
letter. It’s lovely, honey.
I forgot to buy stationary this
evening, honey. Our room looks so cheerful, honey, that when I’m in town, I can’t hardly wait to come back, play the radio, read and
write to you.
Esta and
Regina were at the movies and they liked the picture too. I had on my black
skirt with my yellow blouse. Also, honey, I took my old suit to the cleaners.
Later on, I plan to take my tan coat and have it stored away in moth balls.
Honey, I love you tonight. Goodnight
now, dear, and take good care of yourself always. I send all my love and kisses
to you, sweetheart. May God Bless You, dearest Nick, always.
Lovingly
yours,
Rose
P.S.
Honey, sweet dream, tonight.
