Darling Nick:
It’s early to be writing but I’m going to bed earlier
than usual. I came home this evening and was very tired. I’ve had my shower,
honey, and feel a little rested for the time being.
How are you, dearest Nick? I hope you are fine. I
received your letter of Monday eve, dear, and I’m glad you had an enjoyable
time. I envied you, honey, for I couldn’t go walking with you or to the
baseball game. Gee, how happy life would be if I could be with you, dear! I
miss you, honey, very much. Honey, I love you with all my heart.
Ever since you left, dear, we’ve been having lovely
weather. Easter day was beautiful, honey. I went to church on Easter morning,
dear. The services were beautiful, dear.
Honey, I saw Eileen today and she didn’t say anything.
No, I haven’t seen Ann or Charles.
Esta has a date with an officer
tonight and I’m ever so happy for her, honey.
Honey, what are you doing tonight? Are you going to the
movies, honey? What did you see?
Wish you were here, honey, the evening is lovely. How
grand everything would be if all this was over, dear, and everything was
normal. One of the girls here was telling me that the first thing she and her
husband plan to do is buy a Buick with all the money they have saved. What are
we going to do, honey? Will we buy a car too, honey, and go on a long
honeymoon?
It’s been ages, dear, since I told you something. I love
you, dear, with all my heart, so very much, dear, that I love you. Honey, our 3
day pass was lovely. Our furlough will be lovelier, honey, for we love each
other.
Goodnight, sweetheart, and have a nice sleep. Gee, honey,
it’s going to be without me. Take good care of yourself, honey. I send all my
love and kisses to you, honey, only you. May God bless you, dear, always.
Lovingly yours,
Rosemarie
P.S. Sweet dreams, honey.
