Dear Nick,
We received
your letter and sure were glad to hear from you.
Don’t
be cross because we didn’t answer sooner. Because we don’t have
anybody to write.
We
made the garden. Pop has half of the porch built. We have the lumber to make
it.
The
miners were on strike. But they will go back on Monday.
We didn’t
have no letter from George. We didn’t hear from him
for a month.
We didn’t
have no letter from him since he was home last.
Write
to the boy and tell them everything if ok.
Write
when you will come home I guess this will be all for this time and soon,
Mom,
Pop.
