Sweetheart of mine:
I
love you. I adore you. I think you are grand, dear. I miss you, dear. The
evening is cool and we’ll have to make believe we are going walking. We’ll walk
towards Mrs. Williams.
How
are you, dearest Nick? Be well, dear, as I am. What are you doing, honey? Are
you going to the movies, dear? I went last night and saw “Random Harvest.” I
didn’t go to school this evening for I had other things to do, dear. I was
busy, dear, and am, oh! Very weary!
Honey,
guess who I saw in the grocery store? Tillie, the girl that worked at the Averdeen.
She was married in April and her husband was transferred to California.
Darling,
your Sunday letter came and I’ve read it many times. Oh, honey, you said you can’t hardly wait to be with me! I feel the same way, honey.
Honey, when you come on your furlough come during the
day and we can meet after work. We can go to Ann’s, dearest Nick. I love you,
dearest Nick, with all my heart. Ann wants us to stay with her.
Darling,
it will be heavenly to be with you again. So near, dear, for close to two
weeks. The longest for us to be together. Honey, I’m
sending $39.00 to the toy board. I bank the rest. Honey, I’ll bank the $34.00
next payment of my check.
Honey,
Esta is going out again. A little
too much, dear. She has taken up smoking, now & then, and is
changing a little. Honey, I won’t change. I love you, darling, with all my
heart.
Goodnight,
honey. Take good can of yourself, dear, for I adore you. I send all my love and
kisses to you, dearest love. May God bless you, darling mine, always.
Lovingly yours,
Rosemarie
P.S. Sweet dreams, darlingest
Nick.
